Definitions

In these Conditions, except where the context otherwise requires or where it is otherwise expressly provided, the following expressions have the meanings respectively assigned to them, that is to say:

"BIG BUS & DUCK Group" means all companies and subsidiaries including but not limited to Singapore DUCKtours Pte Ltd, Big Bus Tours Ltd, Big Bus Singapore City Sightseeing Pte Ltd, and Tourist Information Pte Ltd.

"Tours" refers to tours own and/or operated by BIG BUS & DUCK Group, including but not limited to: DUCKtours, Big Bus Tours, Night City Tour, Sentosa-MBS-RWS Rhino, Singapore Trolley Tours, Little India and Chinatown Walking Tours.

"Timed Tours" depart on set, non-negotiable date and time, feature a standard tour route, and are designed for small to large groups of guests travelling in a bus/amphibious Craft or similar vehicle with a driver and live-guide, host or pre-recorded audio guide. These tours are not customisable.

"Craft" refers to any vehicles used for the tours, including but not limited to Topless double decker bus, coach, amphibious DUCK.

"Authorised Agent" means a sales agent who has been appointed by BIG BUS & DUCK to sell its Tours

"Ticket" means either the pre-paid ticket, or the Electronic (PDA) Ticket, in each case includes Conditions of Contract contained in it.

1. Tours

In buying and joining the Tours, it is deemed that you have fully accepted all by BIG BUS & DUCK Group’s terms and conditions. If you do not agree with the terms, do not buy the tickets and do not join the tours.

You agree to indemnify, defend and hold by BIG BUS & DUCK Group and its affiliates, and their respective officers, directors, owners, agents, information providers and licensors (collectively, the "Indemnified Parties") harmless from and against any and all claims, liability, losses, costs and expenses (including attorneys' fees) incurred by any Indemnified Party in connection with any breach by you of these Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy.

2. Prices

We reserve the right to make price changes at any time before your booking is made. We reserve the right to correct printing errors and obvious calculation errors without notification. All information subject to change without notice.

3. Cancellations & Reschedules

3.1 All tickets sales are final and non-refundable. Any changes to tour dates must be communicated via email at least 1 working day prior to departure, and are subjected to availability. No Tour Date/Time changes are permitted on the day of the Tour.

3.2 Our Tours run rain or shine. Unfortunately we cannot predict the weather and Tours are not cancelled due to rainy conditions unless hazardous conditions such as lightning exist. BIG BUS & DUCK Group reserves the right to cancel a Tour at its absolute discretion, whether for health, safety, security, weather, mechanical breakdowns, or other reasonable reasons, including but not limited to social distancing restrictions like capacity limits and/or control order imposed by a Government Agency.

3.3 Should a Tour not proceed then you will be re-scheduled at your convenience, but otherwise you shall have no claim whatsoever (including no claim for travel expenses or any other out of pocket expenses) relating to the cancellation of a Tour.

4. Departure Points and Times

BIG BUS & DUCK Group endeavours to provide departure points and times for the Tours as accurate as possible. However, BIG BUS & DUCK Group reserves the right to vary such departure points and times without prior notice to or consent from you, as circumstances require.

5. Check-in for a Tour

If you are joining a Timed Tour, you are strongly encouraged to arrive and ‘check-in’ at the departure points/check-in location at least 30 minutes (Check-in Time) prior to the Tour Time, as per your booking confirmation email/voucher. This is to allow time for temperature taking, SafeEntry/TraceTogether and collection of your boarding pass. Our Tours run on a schedule and depart on time. If you are late and unable to complete the check-in by the Tour Time, you may not be allowed to join the Tour at BIG BUS & DUCK’s discretion, and you will not be allowed refund and re-schedule.

6. Late Arrivals and No-shows

6.1 We will not be able to reschedule your Tour or issue refunds for no-shows or late arrivals, whether due to any circumstances or last minute unforeseen circumstances such as unexpected illness, road construction, traffic congestion, public transport disruptions, getting lost/cannot find the check-in location, or any number of events that could happen. For Timed Tours, it is not possible to join and board the Craft after it has departed.

6.2 We cannot wait for late arrivals as this is unfair to our guests that are on time for their Tour. If you arrive late you may miss your Tour even if the Craft has not departed yet. This is because even though you are there, your checking in and getting ready will delay the rest of the guests in your Tour. Late arrivals who miss their Tours will be considered as no-show and will not get a refund for any reason. Late arrivals will also not be rescheduled to another Tour without booking and paying fully for another Tour.

6.3 We pride ourselves on our professionalism and excellent customer service. All we ask is that you show up on time for your Tour. In the case of a delay, we recommend contacting us as soon as you know you will be late. The earlier we know, the more we can do for you.

7. Tickets

7.1 Please keep your ticket safe as there will be no replacement. You must show your ticket as you board. The ticket remains the property of the BIG BUS & DUCK Group and must be produced for inspection and if requested to do so, be surrendered on demand to any authorised by BIG BUS & DUCK Group Official.

Look after your ticket well. If you lose it, you lose your ride. Passengers found travelling without valid ticket will be charged the full fare. All tickets are non-transferable.

8. Tour Route

BIG BUS & DUCK Group reserves the right to deviate from the route, itinerary or inclusions, and amend times and/or days of a Tour if necessary including reasons such as but not limited to water/road closure, parades, floods or where reasonably prudent to do so without prior notice to or consent from you.

9. Craft

While BIG BUS & DUCK Group endeavours to operate its famous open-top double decker buses, it reserves the right to substitute with coaches from time to time.

10. Right to Refuse Service

If your conduct aboard the Tours is so as to endanger the Craft or any person or property on board, or obstructs the crew in the performance of their duties, or fails to comply with any instruction of the crew, or behaves in a manner to which other passengers may reasonably object, BIG BUS & DUCK Group may take such measures as it deems necessary to prevent continuation of such conduct, including restraint and/or eject you from the Tour without refund.

11. Safety

11.1 You are required to remain seated on the Tours and keep all limbs within the Craft, especially while the Craft is in motion.

11.2 On all Hop-on and Hop-off tours, seats cannot be guaranteed on either decks. BIG BUS & DUCK Group reserves the right, for safety reasons, to refuse you access to travel on a particular departure is full.

11.3 A child (2-12 years old) is defined as in the ticket class at time of purchase. All children MUST be accompanied by an adult at all times. We reserve the right to refuse/eject guests who refuse to comply with this policy from the Tour(s) without refund.

12. Accident or Loss

Please take care of all personal property while travelling at all times. The BIG BUS & DUCK Group will not be liable for any loss, damage, delay, inconvenience, or direct or consequential loss, however caused.

13. Ticket Agents

Where a ticket is purchased from one of Authorized Agents, any query regarding the ticket purchase, or any request for a refund for whatever reason, must be referred to the Authorized Agent who sold the ticket.

14. Alcohol & Outside Food

The consumption of alcohol and outside food are prohibited on the Tours.

15. Jurisdiction

These conditions shall in all aspects, be governed by the law of Singapore


  1. Booking & Payment
    1. A charter is confirmed only when full payment is made 7 days prior to date of charter.
    2. Fees for charter may be paid by: Cash, Nets, Credit Card, Bank Transfer or Cheque. Cheque shall be made payable to 'Big Bus Singapore City Sightseeing Pte Ltd'.
    3. If payment is not received 7 working days in advance of the charter, the booking may be cancelled without notification.
    4. The Hirer is responsible for the cost of repairs resulting from any damages caused to the vehicle/craft by any members of the hiring party, during the charter.
    5. If additional cleaning is required as a result of the hiring, an excess cleaning free of $100 will apply.
  2. Cancellations, Charges & Refunds
    1. DUCKtours charter is an all weather programme. Once the DUCK leaves the BIG BUS & DUCK Hub it is deemed as fulfilled.
    2. Cancellations made before 72 hours of nominated tour time – charged 20% of hiring fee (refund 80%). No refund will be offered for cancellation less than 72 hours from nominated tour time.
    3. Hirer and all members of hiring party must check in at least 30 minutes before nominated tour time. Checking in later than 30 minutes before nominated tour time, and up to 15 minutes after nominated tour time, will result in a shorter tour.
    4. If the hirer fails to show up, fails to take up the charter at nominated boarding point, and/or arrives 15 minutes after the nominated tour time, the charter shall be terminated and classified as cancelled with no refund.
    5. In the event of adverse weather conditions or technical breakdown, there will be no refund, the chartered tour will be rescheduled.
  3. Operations & Other Limitations
    1. Maximum Capacity for DUCKtour is 31 passengers, children and infants included.
    2. Charters shall be terminated (with no refund) when there is an overloading of passengers above the maximum capacity stated in 3.1.
    3. Smoking, eating and drinking is not permitted on the DUCK.
    4. Charters shall be terminated (with no refund) as a result of unacceptable behavior of passengers.
    5. In chartering and joining our tour, hirer and all members of party is deem to have accepted our full trading terms and conditions available at www.ducktours.com.sg/terms

  1. Booking & Payment

    5. If additional cleaning is required as a result of the hiring, an excess cleaning free of $100 will apply.
    6. Big Bus/Trolley/Rhino Buses are not normally hired out as "Party Buses". If a hiring is accepted for a "Party Bus", the hiring may be subject to a bond of $500, payable in advance.
    7. Minimum charter duration: 2 hours, inclusive of stand-by and/or idle time.
    8. No refund will be given even if the charter ends earlier than chartered duration.
  2. Cancellations, Charges & Refunds
    1. Big Bus/Trolley/Rhino Buses charter is an all weather programme. Once the bus leaves the BIG BUS & DUCK Hub it is deemed as fulfilled.
    2. Cancellations made before 72 hours of nominated tour time - charged 20% of hiring fee (refund 80%). No refund will be offered for cancellation less than 72 hours from nominated tour time.
    3. If the hirer fails to show up at nominated boarding point, and/or arrives 15 minutes after the nominated charter time, the charter shall be terminated and classified as cancelled with no refund.
    4. When charter over-runs, additional charges are applicable at blocks of hourly rate.
    5. In the event of technical breakdown or circumstances beyond the company's control, the company is only liable to refund to the hirer the full charter fee.
    6. The company reserves the right not to accept hirer's request for changes to tour times, tour routes and pick-up/drop-off points once the charter has been confirmed (1.1).
  3. Operations & Other Limitations
    1. Maximum Capacity for the buses are Big Bus (50 pax), Trolley (40 pax), and Rhino (44 pax) only.
    2. Charters shall be terminated (with no refund) when there is an overloading of passengers above the maximum capacity stated in 3.1.
    3. Smoking, eating and drinking is not permitted on the Big Bus/Trolley/Rhino Buses.
    4. Charters shall be terminated (with no refund) as a result of unacceptable behavior of passengers.
    5. Hirer and accompanying party ride at their own risk and are fully aware that they must remain seated at all times when vehicle is on the move.
