What is the DHL Balloon's unique proposition?
A flight abroad the DHL Balloon is an extraordinary experience which excites both young and old. At 180 metres, it is the highest observation ride in Singapore. This silent nature of a balloon flight gives passengers a real thrill as it sways with the breeze and floats into the sky.

Passengers seem to be on a floating balcony ascending up to a height of 180 metres (48 storeys) and/ or 150 metres (40 storeys) with nothing under their feet and only a gigantic balloon over their heads. The view slowly unfolds itself as you ascend till you can even glimpse some of our neighbouring islands and countries. Moving around the floating platform, the 360 degrees panoramic view of the cityscape is truly breathtaking!

What is the Flight Duration and Frequency?
Flight duration is about 10 mins for our standard 150 metres flight, available hourly. Our 180 metres über flight is about 13 mins, available half-hourly.

How many people can go onboard per time?
The gondola can handle up to 29 pax per trip. However when it is windy, we will scale down the passenger counts to improve the lift of the balloon for a more comfortable ride.

Will the Balloon Catch Fire?
This is not a hot air balloon. We do not have a open flame with propane gas on board. We use Helium, and it is an inert gas. There is no risk of fire as such.

How would I know if the Balloon is Flying?
We are open daily from 11am to 9.30 pm. When the weather is conducive for flight, you can definitely spot us in the sky. When the weather is not conducive, we will 'wait-out' and resume flight when possible. So, catch us when we are in the sky or call 6-33-832-13 for a flight status update.

When will the balloon be grounded?
When weather condition is unpredictable and that flight condition is not conducive for either a safe or a comfortable flight.

1. Flights are not permitted when there is a CAT 1 status, a possibility of lightning within the vicinity.

2. When it is raining, flight will be suspended. Or when there is thunder storm cloud within the vicinity.

3. When the wind is stronger than 5 knots at ground. Beyond this wind, the flight is not comfortable for some passengers.

Safety is paramount and at the same time, we will only take off if the condition is good for a nice and comfortable flight.

Why is it not able to fly!
We understand that there has been lot of disappointed individuals but it is because safety is paramount that we not fly. The weather condition is seasonal and some weeks, there is not much flight windows. But we will definitely fly when there are windows to do so.

How do we track the weather condition?
Weather checks are conducted throughout the day. Weather report and weather radar are tracked on a regular basis to monitor the changing weather conditions.

What is the Admission Age?
There are no age limits. Flight is even suitable for infants and the elderly. Please consult a physician if in doubt.

The DHL Balloon is design for wheel chair. We are able to handle up to 8 pax on wheel chair at any time.
